Bedford South closed for the day

Bedford South School is closed for the day (Mar. 11, 2010) because of a malfunction with the school’s boiler. A decision on whether school will re-open on Friday will be made later today.

Staff recommending three
schools for review

HRSB staff has recommended three schools be reviewed. The schools identified are:

• Eastern Consolidated Elementary
• Terence Bay site of Atlantic Memorial - Terence Bay Elementary
• Upper Musquodoboit Consolidated

A Planning for Improvement Survey

The second annual Premier's Power of Positive Change Awards will be given to students who are working to make their school, community and world a better place. Up to 10 students from grades Primary - 12 across Nova Scotia will be awarded a $2,000 bursary to be used for used for their post-secondary education.
