Financial Services provides services to schools and Board departments in the areas of finance, accounting, payroll, purchasing, contract and grants administration.
For the 2010-2011 school year, the HRSB will manage a General Fund budget of $399,151,900, of which $290,140,600 comes from the Department of Education, $96,976,800 comes from the Halifax Regional Municipality and the remainder from other sources.
The HRSB will also manage a Supplementary Fund budget of $18,493,600 which is spent equitably across the entire region.
