Options and Opportunities (O2)
Some students learn better by doing. That’s where the Options and Opportunities program, better known as O2, comes in. High school students get out of the classroom to learn what jobs are really about, and if they’d like to make a career out of one of them.
Options and Opportunities is designed to help them successfully switch from high school to work, a career path or a post-secondary program. Academic curriculum is connected to a career theme that shows students that what they learn in school can be applied to a job after they graduate.
The O2 program started at Auburn Drive High School in 2005-06 as a pilot project. It is now offered in the following high schools:
- Auburn Drive
- Charles P. Allen
