Occupational Health & Safety
- Coordinates continual development of the Halifax Regional School Board health & safety policy and manual in accordance with the requirements for a health & safety program, as per the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act and its’ regulations.
- Delivers health and safety program training and provides advice to staff so that they may effectively implement the program to prevent injuries and to create an occupationally safe and healthy environment for school community members.<>
- Responds to health and safety requests from school administration and from workplace joint occupational health and safety committees.
- Administers required training for various staff groups and participates in serious incident and other workplace investigations.
