Organizational Planning & Development
- Provides support and services which are intended to improve the organizational health and effectiveness of all departments.

Strategic planning initiatives which help identify and define department goals and develop strategies for reaching them.

Provides Facilitation/Mediation services to assist departments and/or individuals seeking support for conflict resolution.

Develops and maintains job descriptions for all departments which support processes such as job posting, interviews and performance management.

Supports Principals and Supervisory Staff in the annual professional growth & performance evaluation process for all employees.

Administers the Teachers professional development fund under Article 60 of the NSTU Collective Agreement.

Facilitates reimbursements for professional development activity under CUPE and NSGEU.

Provides resources, advice and support to schools on matters relating to Protection of Student Policy and volunteers (i.e. Volunteer Handbook, Student Protection Brochure).

Provides training and development opportunities which promote understanding of processes and systems in which people work.

Facilitates recognition programs (i.e. Annual Retirement Reception) which foster and promotes employee relations.
