Have a Voice in Education

If you have an interest in public education, the Halifax Regional School Board has an interest in you.

The board holds two public meetings per month. Agendas for those meetings are posted to the website on the first Wednesday of each month.  Staff reports on decision items are posted to the website no later than Friday of that same week.

Public Submissions – Third Wednesday

On the third Wednesday of each month, members of the public are invited to speak to items for decision being brought forward to the Regular Board meeting.

Board Meeting – Fourth Wednesday

A board meeting is held the following Wednesday during which the board will consider agenda items for decisions, with consideration of both the public and staff input. Members of the public have an opportunity at the end of the agenda items to address the board on matters of educational interest.

Both meetings are held in the board chambers at 90 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth beginning at 6 p.m..
