The Halifax Regional School Board initiated Imagine Our Schools in the 2007-2008 school year as a way to engage the public in a constructive conversation about the future of our schools. The goal of Imagine Our Schools was to use the public input as the basis for developing a 10-year facilities master plan.
Imagine Our Schools was completed in two phases. Phase One, conducted during 2007-2008, involved the following five Families of Schools: Auburn Drive, Citadel, Cole Harbour District, Dartmouth and Prince Andrew.
The remaining 10 families of schools were considered as part of Phase Two during the 2008-2009 school year. These families included: Charles P. Allen, Duncan MacMillan, Eastern Shore District, Halifax West, J.L. Ilsley, Lockview, Millwood, Musquodoboit Rural, Sackville and Sir John A. Macdonald.
